27 Aug 2000 - Nicko: On To Minneapolis
On board the Goose.
Milwaukee to Minneapolis.
Well, well, well,
Good day to you all.
How's it all hanging?
I'm feeling a lot better today than yesterday so I reckon it has been a three-day hangover. Not completely right just yet, maybe tomorrow but then it's a day off. Oh my, that's going to be interesting.
Well we had a show in Milwaukee last night and it was chalk and cheese compared to The Chicago audience I can tell you. It was a blinding gig and the Billie's were fantastic. We were going to have a chat about the set after the show but as everyone was feeling on top I thought it an inappropriate time to say anything, we'll see how tonight's show goes.
On board the Goose today we have Johnny 'two piglet's please' B, First officer Jim 'I'll not cut 'im loose, ya blaggard' Silvia, Captain Bruce 'let's leave tonight after the gig' Dickinson and me good self.
We're on our way to Minneapolis. We have a show there tonight. The flight should take us one hour and thirty minutes.
Just before we left the airfield we decided that after the show tonight we would do a runner and head out for Colorado Springs. We will be playing there on Tuesday evening. We've got the day off tomorrow so it will be nice to get the journey over with, also Bruce's family are staying there as well. They arrived yesterday. We cancelled our hotel in Minneapolis and I had my friend, Jay, arrange for me to get a room at the same hotel Bruce is staying at. It's a resort hotel just outside of Colorado Springs. It has all kinds of things to do. It boasts a great spa and three championship golf courses, LOVELY JUBBLY boys and girls.
I shall be out on the links tomorrow, weather permitting.
I think I'll also try for a round on Tuesday morning as well. That way I won't be getting to out of it, as I know if I do I shan't want to get up, will I.
Well that's about it for now. I'm going to sit back and enjoy the flight. It's a beautiful day today.
Praise the Lord for the way he works in all of our lives.
God Bless you all.
