Maiden Announce South American Tour For 2001

The band have confirmed further South American Tour dates to accompany their headline performance at the ROCK IN RIO III Festival in January 2001.

This will represent the final dates of their 8 month Brave New World Tour which has seen them travel to 30 countries worldwide and play to well over a million people this year.

"South America is a great place to finish the World Tour as there is always a great atmosphere at the shows there." says Bruce.

"To finish headlining at what will be one of the biggest shows on Earth ever, on the world's largest stage and in front or some of the most fanatical fans we have is fantastic. We have said all along that this Tour was about putting Heavy Metal back on the map and I feel we have achieved this judging from the crowd reactions at the shows and reading what the media has to say. But remember this...this is only round one! We'll be back."
